[kju:] Filesharing

You can share files between Mac OS X and your GuestPC easily with [kju:]. Qemu provides an integrated SMB server to share documents, audio/video and more.

For Windows GuestPCs

Choose "Q Shared Files" or choose another as shared folder in Windows.

There are drivers available for Windows GuestPCs to easily setup the Shared Folder. You can check "Show disk with Q Windows drivers" to have them shown up in your Windows GuestPC as a second disk drive.
Important: Windows 98 refuses to start with the Q Windows Drivers disk enabled. Instead use the Internet Explorer in Windows 98 to download the drivers from the Q download page at http://www.kberg.ch/q/drivers.

You'll see the two drivers available for Win9x/ME and Windows 2000/XP Guests. Choose the appropriate one and simply double-click to install. A restart is not necessery.

You'll see the Q icon on your Windows desktop now. Double-click to open the shared folder and drag-drop your files either in Windows or Mac OS X.

In Mac OS X you can put things in the Shared Folder by simply dragging it on the GuestPC window. The file is then copied into your Shared Folder.

For other GuestPCs

Qemu provides the SMB server at 10.0.2.4. You can use the instructions for Windows GuestPCs from above except for the Q Windows Drivers.
